To adjust the action of the Smart Fish Adjustable Dodger, turn the fins to your desired setting (a 12 is molded into the product as a reference). Our testing has yielded excellent results with the 8:00, 10:00 and 12:00 settings.
To fish the Smart Fish, try running the Smart Fish behind a LongLiner. This rigging will work well for saltwater or freshwater angling.
If you have a downrigger, try running the Smart Fish behind three colors of lead core off the downrigger. This setup has produced great Chinook salmon catches.
If you have a Dipsey Diver, try running the Smart Fish behind it. This setup has produced great Silver salmon catches.
For Chinook and Kokanee, troll between 2.2 and 2.5 miles per hour. For Silvers and Rainbow trout, troll between 2.2 and 5 miles per hour.
