Flashers and Dodgers

Flashers and dodgers are especially good at attracting negative fish, or for working water where fish are scattered. Dodgers of various types are traditionally used in saltwater not only to attract fish, but to give baits additional action. They also work well for freshwater trolling for all species, using similar gear and bait. Here in the Northwest, dodgers are very effective attractors when using herring, flies, plugs, and spoons.

Flashers and dodgers come in many sizes and shapes. We have found that the Smart Fish is an extremely valuable addition to our tackle bag. Testing in the field shows that on many days the Smart Fish Dodger produced fish when all others either failed or produced poorly.

Jack Craven, of Yaquina Bay Charters, tells Angler Innovations:"My boat, the Crackerjack, out of Yaquina Bay Charters in Newport, Oregon used several of the Legenday Products during our ocean Coho season in 2009. We caught a lot of Coho last summer and while a lot of different things worked well, there is no question the Legendary Products Spoons were very effective and usually outfished our other gear by a wide margin.
